Tracking takes place three times throughout the school year.


Key Stage 4

At GCSE Level we study the CCEA Specification. Pupils sit the Unit 1 exam at the end of Year 11 and they sit the Unit 4 exam at the start of Year 12. If pupils need the opportunity to resit either exam, this will be arranged for May/June of their Year 12.

Controlled Assesments will be ongoing throughout Year 11 and Year 12.

Unit 1: Writing for Purpose and Audience and Reading to Access Non-fiction and Media Texts: External Examination:30%

Unit 2: Speaking and Listening: Controlled Assessment: 20%

Unit 3: Studying Spoken and Written Language:Controlled Assessment: 20%

Unit 4: Personal or Creative Writing and Reading Literary and Non-ficton Texts:External Examination:30%
