Aaron Elliott Spinathon

6th Oct 2017

Aaron was a pupil at St Joseph’s College from 2007 to 2011. While at St Joseph’s he was part of the very successful football team who won the County and Ulster Championships in 2011.
After leaving St Joseph’s Aaron went out to Philadelphia to play football for the Kevin Barry’s GFC.
On the 26th August 2017 Aaron was knocked down on his way home and suffered some very serious head and body injuries. After a very worrying time for his family he has started to make a slow recovery, but unfortunately the medical bills in America are huge and the family have to pay for all his medical expenses themselves. Aaron is being cared for in a convalesce home attached to the hospital and this is very expensive. Lots of people are fundraising to help with these expenses.
On Thursday 5th October we held a 6 hour Spinathon to help raise funds to contribute towards Aaron expenses.
The house captains were in charge of each province in each year group, and they took you to the gym, class by class, to complete their session on the bike.
A Raffle for lots of prizes, including an O’Neill’s ball, Beautician Vouchers, Meal Vouchers and loads more! Tickets are 25p each or 5 for £1. They are being sold every day at Lunchtime up to Friday. The Draw will take place on Friday 6th October at Lunch time.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support and please remember, ‘Once a Joe, always a Joe’
